Fall 24' School Year

Hello Parents!

School is almost over, and suddenly we are brought to a season of excitement, but also of decision making. Fresh Fire Fellowship is happy to announce that we will be starting Fresh Fire Christian Academy this fall! This will be a preK-8th grade academy that has a heavy focus on having a Christian worldview, academic excellence and mentorship for all ages.
We believe our children should be like Daniel, who stood up for God, which went against the world system. We can all see that there are many horrible things going on in our world, but we have a good and faithful God. We are starting this school, not in fear but in a belief that our Children will be a God-fearing people and be equipped to change the world around them!
We want your Children to be a part! Below are just a few things that identify who we are as a school. We want you to look through each section, ask questions and most importantly pray for us as we continue to follow what God wants us to do for your children.

Let's dive in!

Why do we call Fresh Fire Christian Academy a school of excellence?

Daily Encounter with God

Our heart is to help grow and nurture your child’s relationship with God. We do this by having daily chapel, daily bible classes and mentoring each child in every classroom.

Every morning, we will come together to praise and worship our God. We believe that God is enthroned by the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). Our teachers will lead your children to make Jesus Lord at the start of every school day. We will then testify of the goodness of God so that Your Children will be full of faith as they take on each day.

In addition to daily chapel, we will have daily Bible class. Our elementary Bible program teaches basic Bible doctrines to create a strong foundation for more complex study later. Students learn to connect spiritual accounts to each of the Bible truths and apply truths to their own lives. Socratic questioning, teacher modeling, guided formative assessments and independent study expand and reinforce students’ understanding of Bible doctrine and knowledge.

Grade 7-12 Bible courses teach students to observe, interpret, and apply Scripture through a structured survey of the Old and New Testaments (Grade 7-9) followed by systematic theology (Bible Doctrines, Grade 10) and a wide-ranging biblical worldview course that applies the biblical framework of Creation, Fall and redemption to foundational and current cultural issues.

Our heart is to partner with parents to train a child in the way they should go, in every area of their lives (Proverbs 22:6). Godly mentorship integrated into every subject and every classroom will train a child how to live a life for God. We hire teachers that have a strong personal relationship with God. They will teach your kids the beauty and complexity of God and His creation in every subject.

Little learners: Our little learner program includes preschool, K4 and K5. We will develop each level to gradually prepare young learners with the foundations they need for future education. We use songs, games and characters to introduce students to phonics skills, numbers, shapes, letters, colors and more! With Biblical Worldview themes introduced, it will point students to a knowledge of God and His will.

Physical Education

Functional Fitness: We want children to know and feel that they are capable physically and spiritually. We believe health and fitness are a key component of the discipleship process. We will employ a functional fitness model to teach children how to move and develop strength that will serve them now and in the future. Utilizing basic movement patterns and intelligent loading, we will drive adaptation for longevity and strength. Students will grow in their physical ability and expression through tailored group activities and expectations. Each class will consist of a group warm-up game, targeted movement instruction, practical application of the movement of the day, and games to allow for creative expression of the movement patterns (basketball, soccer, throwing, catching, obstacle navigation, etc.). We want them to enjoy the ability that God has given them physically and to learn to expand their expression of His goodness through movement and play.
Health & Wellness: Understanding health and wellness is crucial for a student's overall well-being and long-term success. We will teach children about healthy habits and lifestyle choices. Students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions about their physical, emotional, and mental health with a Biblical perspective that roots their identity in Christ. This understanding can lead to better habits such as eating healthy foods, getting enough exercise, and getting enough sleep. In addition to physical health, students will learn about mental health and wellness which will help children develop important coping skills and resilience to manage stress and other challenges. Ultimately, students will develop a solid understanding of health and wellness which will empower them to lead happy and healthy lives both now and in the future.
